Trimithousa

Trimithousa is located about 38 kilometers north of Paphos in the homonymous province of Cyprus and is about 100 kilometers northwest of Limassol and 180 kilometers west of Nicosia.

A stone’s throw from Lake Evretou lies the now abandoned settlement of Trimithousa, which is adjacent to the villages Philoussa Chrysochous and Evretou in Paphos.

Trimithousa is historically linked to the personality of Ghiaur Imami or Deli Imam, who was alienated from the Ottoman rule, thus leading a great uprising. But fearing his arrest, he is said to have escaped to Alexandria and his movement was dissolved, although according to popular tradition he was eventually executed.

In the area there are agrotouristic lodges, a bakery and a restaurant.
