Sirene Beach
Sirene Beach is situated about 7 km from Protaras in the Famagusta region in Cyprus, just off the main road connecting the tourist area with Ayia Napa.
The small isolated bay of the Sirene beach, known also as Sirena Bay, a name it got from the local café-bar, was formerly known as the Beach of Minas, after a Byzantine ruler of the area.
Hidden from view by the surrounding reeds, this beach is easily reached via a hiking trail. Starting from the Louma beach, the visitor walks along a seaside "corridor" between rocks and green bushes, and after a few minutes reaches the small isolated bay of the Sirene beach, a small shore forgotten by time and the many visitors to the area, with tempting waters in all the shades of blue and green.
On Sirene beach you will not find any "civilization", – you can of course rent umbrellas and sun loungers, as well as enjoy extra services at the beach bar located above it, – but here you will come to find serenity and then take the path back to return to the hustle of the city…
