Sarama

Sarama, an abandoned Turkish Cypriot village in the province of Paphos, is situated 35 kilometers northeast of the homonymous city, 82 kilometers northwest of Limassol and 137 kilometers southwest of Nicosia.

Located near to Euretou, Simou, Lysos and Fyti, Sarama suffered serious damage from the great earthquake that hit Paphos in 1953. At that time, the inhabitants abandoned the area and the settlement was deserted.

Nearby is the northern bank of Stavros tis Psokas, the largest river in the area that flows through a valley near the foothills of the Paphos forest.

Thermal springs in the area of Sarama indicate strong hydrothermal activity.
