River Beach

The beach River (Potami) can be found immediately after the beach Vrysi C and is situated approximately 5 km north of Protaras in the Famagusta district of Cyprus and just 200 meters on foot from Mikri Pernera.

The beach got its name River, or Marlita as it is also known locally, from a small brook flowing into the bay.

With its shallow waters, the mainly sandy River beach that is situated in front of the famous hotel, stretches to include smaller rocky bays. This small beach (with a length of about 50 meters and a width of almost 40 meters), has a number of water sports equipment for rent, some sun loungers, umbrellas and showers, and free Wi-Fi access for bathers, as well as some facilities for the disabled. In the region, visitors can find more accommodation options, and several restaurants and café-bars.

Access to the River beach is very easy both by car from the main highway, and on foot via the coastal promenade, walking towards the other beaches north and south of Paralimnio.
