Pyknis Forest
The Pyknis forest is located about 18 kilometers northwest of Paphos in the homonymous province of Cyprus and about 3.5 kilometers from Pegeia.
Essentially it is an excursion area with a capacity of 500 people which is subject to the state forest Pegeia. The flora of the area consists mainly of pines, junipers, turpentine trees and other plants.
The Pyknis forest was reorganized in 2005 in a recreation and relaxation area for the locals and among others it features barbeques, wooden benches and tables, a playground, restrooms and a parking. Finally, the area is crossed by the European path E4, which leads to the famous Avakas gorge.
