Pezounospilioi Beach

Pezounospilioi beach or beach Filia (Friendship), is located after the MMAD beach and at approximately 10 km from the center of Protaras in the Famagusta district of Cyprus.

The name of the Pezounospilioi beach, comes from the caves surrounding it, that used to serve as a refuge for many pezounia, which in the Cypriot dialect means pigeons and spileo in Greek means cave.

Accessible via a wooden staircase, with a small sandy shore, crystal clear water, cliffs and imposing, albeit small in size, caves, the beach Pezounospilioi is the local secret and is suitable for tourists who prefer isolation.

On beach Pezounospilioi you will not find any services, but there are signs on the main road making it easy to find. It is more easily accessed, though, via the hiking trail that starts from other nearby beaches.
