Pernera Beach
Pernera Beach can be found between the beaches of Vathia Gonia and Katsarka, situated about 4 km west of Ayia Napa. Starting then from the famous resort of the Famagusta region in Cyprus, it is about 1.5 km away from the cosmopolitan beach Nissi and faces towards the Cape Cavo Greco.
The shallow and calm turquoise waters of Pernera beach make it a top preference for families with young children, and despite the fact that it has been awarded for many years with the Blue Flag, it remains relatively obscure, even during the peak summer season.
With 200 meters in total of coastline, 350 meters long and 25 meters wide, the Pernera beach offers basic infrastructure and is predominantly sandy in the north, while it is rocky in the southwestern part of the peninsula.
Along the beach Pernera runs a large pedestrian walkway, which starts from the beach Vathia Gonia and connects the entire coastline with the harbor of Ayia Napa, and is also accessible for people in a wheelchair.
Pernera beach is one of the best choices for those who want to avoid the summer crowds and just enjoy the sea. In the area one can rent water sports equipment, while nearby there is also a hotel and a restaurant. It also offers parking spaces and very close to it you will find a taxi rank.
The road leading to Pernera beach is easily accessible by either car or on foot, but it is relatively hard to find, since it is not adequately signposted.
