Pachyammos Tillyrias Beach

The beach Pachyammos Tillyrias can be found about 500 meters from the homonymous settlement of the region of Nicosia in Cyprus, just 5 km east of the small harbor of Pomos, and approximately 60 kilometers from Paphos.

The northern part of Cyprus, even though it is the least touristic of the island, stands out for the particular form of its peninsula and its natural environment. Proof of this is the beach Pachyammos Tillyrias that with its clear waters and the endless view compensates the visitor for the long journey to this frontier point.

The pebbly beach Pachyammos Tillyrias is approximately 800 meters long and is unorganized, while the eastern entrance of the beach is part of the area controlled by the Turkish troops. The sand dunes next to the sea are a favorite destination for campers everywhere, as well as a favorite spot for the turtles to lay their eggs.

It is probably one of the quietest and most non touristic coasts. The visit to the pristine beach Pachyammos Tillyrias can start with a swim in its clear waters, and continue with a walk in the valley of the village of Pomos, or – for the more courageous – to the forest of Paphos and the forest station at Stavros of Psokas.
