Municipality Gallery of Paphos
The Municipal Gallery of Paphos is located in the capital of the homonymous province, in particularly on Gladstonos Street, in front of the grove of Ivis Malioti.
A very beautiful art space that permanently hosts 46 works by artists of Paphos, the Municipal Gallery of Paphos was inaugurated in 2008 by the wife of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Fotini Papadopoulou, during the term of the mayor Savva G. Verga. It is housed in an impressive arched mansion formerly owned by Dr. Maliotis’ daughter. After the purchase of the building by the Municipality, the restoration was undertaken by the Institution A.G. Leventis.
Today, the Municipal Gallery of Paphos, in addition to the permanent exhibition, organizes periodical exhibitions of local and foreign artists while also conducting innovative educational programs for school children in collaboration with the Cultural Services of the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Municipality of Paphos. Among other things, there are presentations of literary artists and various cultural nights.
