Menogia

Menogia is a small village situated in the province of Larnaca in Cyprus and is located about 24 kilometers southwest of Larnaca, 60 kilometers southeast of Nicosia and 49 kilometers northeast of Limassol.

Situated between the communities of Kofinou and Anglisides, you will find Menogia on the old street connecting Larnaca with Limassol. The small settlement of about 50 inhabitants, surrounded by low hills and olive groves, is characterized by its calmness and its small houses.

Menogia used to be a mixed village with Turkish Cypriots and Greek Cypriots, as is evident from the mosque with its minaret at the entrance of the community.

The most important attraction in the settlement is of religious interest and it is the church of Agios Athanasios and Kyrillos, a stone-built basilica with a dome.

The area of detention of immigrants and asylum seekers in Cyprus is also located in Menogia. The village also has a small café.
