Maniki Beach
Getting away from the tourist sites, Maniki beach is located about 20 kilometers north of Paphos in the homonymous province of Cyprus, and 6 km northwest of Peyia.
Within walking distance from the Paphos Zoo and below the Cap St. Georges Beach Club Resort (in Kafizi area) stretches the relatively large sandy beach of Maniki, which is situated right across from the island Manitzi, from where it got its name.
Embracing a relatively large cove with turquoise waters and a rocky seabed, Maniki beach offers its guests sun loungers and umbrellas for relaxing, while along the coastline runs the wooden platform for partially easing the access of people with disabilities.
Very close to the semi-organized beach is a bar-cafe and behind it lies the Pykni forest.
After Maniki beach and the romantic wild coves of the area, the visitor approaches the westernmost point of Paphos, the Bay of Agios Georgios Peyias, and then from there begins the Avakas gorge and the endless Akamas peninsula. Finally, to the west of the beach lies Geronisos, a rocky outpost that signals the existence of an ancient harbor, where you can still see the ramps for the ships.
