Makounda
Makounda is one of the old Turkish Cypriot villages of Cyprus and it is found about 50 kilometers northeast of Paphos in the homonymous province.
Right next to the Argakas dam, in a fertile area that is watered by Xeropotamos river, you will find the small settlement of Makounda, where a small number of Greek Cypriots live to this day. Overlooking the bay of Polis Chrysochous, Makounda is adjacent to Argaka (2 km southwest), and nearby there is also a motocross track.
