Limbia

Limbia is a village in Nicosia and it is situated about 30 km away from the homonymous capital of Cyprus, 70 km from Limassol, 30 km from Larnaca and 140 km from Paphos.

Today, the settlement that borders with the Green Line, counts about 2000 permanent residents. In Limbia, the visitor can see the dam of the area, a small dam on the Tremithos river, with its green surroundings being suitable for relaxed excursions. Also nearby is the small cave that is probably dedicated to Saint Raphael.

On the road towards Mosfiloti, just before the bridge of the Tremithos river, the visitor will encounter the chapel of Prophet Elias, from where one can see the entire plain that starts from the river and all the way to the Nicosia-Larnaca motorway.
