Kanali Pomou Beach
Kanali Pomou Beach (or Municipal beach) is adjacent to the picturesque harbor of the village Pomos in the region of Paphos in Cyprus.
At the foot of a hill (at the edge of Pomos), an unknown to many pebbly beach is formed, theKanali Pomou Beach. The length of the coast reaches 300 meters and it is 15 meters wide, and its crystal clear cold waters are ideal for the visitors who want to relax away from the crowded beaches. During summer there are lifeguards on duty, and a small wooden kiosk opens up, offering coffee and drinks with music, as well as toilets. Although it is relatively unorganized, this beach has some sun loungers and umbrellas.
Within walking distance from the beach Kanali Pomou you will find the cave of the Dragon, which according to tradition protected the region from all evil, and access to it is easy from the nearby village of Nea Dimmata Paphou, and this is considered one of the most scenic coastal routes of the island. Along this route, visitors can also visit the numerous coves (Troulorotsos) and take pictures on the sharp promontories.
