Geroskipou Beach
Geroskipou beach, also known as Atlantida, is located beneath the coastal road of the homonymous town of the island of Cyprus and is approximately 5 km from Paphos, 65 km from Limassol and 145 km from the city of Nicosia.
Being one of the coasts east of the city of Paphos, Geroskipou beach has a total length of more than 1 km and is mainly covered by pebbles – although its west side is a little more sandy due to the breakwater that exists there.
The waters of the municipal beach of Geroskipou have been awarded for their purity with the Blue Fla. The beach also stands out for the facilities it offers to disabled people. Lifeguard services are also offered during the summer season, as well as modern facilities for water sports, while the beach is popular among sailing enthusiasts. Moreover, visitors can rent sun loungers and umbrellas and have lunch or stay overnight in one of their restaurants and accommodation facilities available in the area.
Geroskipou beach attracts mainly locals and is easily accessible by all means of transportation or via the coastal path (total length 5 km) that starts from this coast and ends at the Medieval Castle of Paphos.
In recent years, and as part of the events for the Capital of Culture 2017, on Geroskipou beach every August cinema nights take place and they are open to the public.
