Faros D Beach
Faros D Beach is located to the south of Larnaca and about 15 kilometers away, near the village of Pervolia in the Larnaca region in Cyprus.
Faros D Beach is the end of a long coastline that has been awarded with the Blue Flag and has gotten its name from a lighthouse (faros in Greek means lighthouse). The lighthouse located there was built during the British Protectorate period and to this day guides ships, having saved the lives of many sailors. Meanwhile, today the promontory has been fenced enabling children and adults to safely enjoy the view from above.
Faros D Beach is mostly sandy and is ideal for families as the calm that the area exudes makes it a welcome change from the other crowded beaches nearby, such as the Mackenzie beach.
Next to Faros D Beach there is available to the public parking, just beside the beautiful statue of Kallipateira, while descending the stairs from the restaurant-cafe down to the coast, the visitors can use the umbrellas and sun beds in order to enjoy the sea.
