Elpinikios Library

The Elpinikios Library is located in the district of Pallouriotissa, in Nicosia and belongs to the Cultural Services of the Ministry of Education and Culture.

Serving the area of ​​Pallouriotissa and Kaimaklio, as well as other districts of Nicosia, the Elpinikios Library has been public and lending since 2001, with a rich collection of books, magazines and informational materials (encyclopedias, dictionaries, etc.).

The collection consists of approximately 60,000 volumes of books classified according to Dewey’s decimal taxonomic system, with topics ranging from literature, history, religion, science, to economics and more. The registration of a member in the library is free of charge, while the computerized bibliographic material is accessible via the CLN-Cyprus Library Network (www.cln.com.cy) and the Cypriot Library Catalog page.

The name of the Elpinikios Library comes from the teacher Elpiniki Papadopoulou, who donated the house to the ministry.
