Diving Spot Amphorae Caves

The diving spot Amphorae Caves is located off the shores of Paphos in the homonymous province.

A rocky place with several caves, Amphorae Caves is at a depth of 5 to 12 meters and owes its name to the roof of one of the caves that looks like it is covered with amphorae and wells.

The visibility at the point reaches 20 meters, which makes it ideal for underwater exploration of the ravines, gorges and caves in the area. The American team of archaeologists who have conducted research in the area concluded that the formation of rocks on the roof of this cave was created by the movements of the seabed in the last 2000 years.

The diving spot Amphorae Caves is home to beautiful corals and octopuses. Access is by boat while diving to the shipwreck requires a certificate of open water (OW).
