Cactus Park
The Cactus Park is situated immediately after the Sculpture Park of Agia Napa, on the route to the Cape of Cavo Greco in the Famagusta district in Cyprus (junction of highways Cavo Greco and Kryou Nerou).
The inauguration of the Cactus Park of Agia Napa was in the summer of 2015, enriching the place with another cultural attraction that serves as a place of relaxation for the life of locals and tourists in the area.
The Cactus Park has 12,000 plants from 300 species of Mediterranean cacti and succulents over an area of about 40 acres that literally reminds of the Far West and has panoramic views of the city.
The municipal authorities, in cooperation with the Association of Succulents of Cyprus and Kikis Konstantinou, originally aiming at planting seven thousands of succulents in small pots, planted 6000 of them in the space that is currently Cactus Park, and also accompanied each plant with a caption where its features are detailed. But after the creation of the Cactus Park, more than a thousand citizens also brought their own cactus and actively contributed. Indeed, the Succulent and Cactus Club was founded for the most enthusiastic with the project.
