Beaches of Chlorakas
The beaches of Chlorakas are within 2 km from the homonymous village of Paphos in Cyprus, and a 10 minute drive from the main coastal road of Paphos.
Generally, the coastal area of Chlorakas boasts deep waters, set against the backdrop of the Mediterranean, ideal for adventurous swimmers. However, there are also more tranquil beaches with shallow waters for children and adults.
The beach “Vreksis” and the beach “Dimma” are the two most famous beaches of Chlorakas for swimming. The first one, was turned into a sandy beach by the river Vreksis flowing into it, and the second is a natural sheltered bay surrounded by wild cliffs with small fishing boats tied onto them.
The lush vegetation of the area blends perfectly with the wild beauty of the beaches of Chlorakas. In the cracks of the rocks stem cyclamens, while the halcyon birds set their nests and lay their eggs there. Visitors to these hidden places can enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets of the island.
Access to the beaches of Chlorakas is via the coastal walkway, while the surrounding area is full of taverns, restaurants and hotels.
