Baths of Aphrodite Beach
The Baths of Aphrodite beach can be found immediately after the vast Akamas peninsula and 48 kilometers north of Paphos in the homonymous province of Cyprus.
What makes the Akamas region unique is, among others, its large coastline that consists of big and smaller bays that are reminiscent of something out of a dream postcard. But at this location the main attraction are the Baths of Aphrodite, a natural cave where the goddess of love enjoyed her baths. It is located a short distance from the shore, the beach of the Baths of Aphrodite (300 meters in length and 15 meter wide), perched below the CTO restaurant and the public parking area. This is a rocky coast with golden sand in many places, with umbrellas and sun beds for rent and endless views of Pomos, the last free Cypriot village on this side of the island.
The beach Baths of Aphrodite is accessible by car at the exit of the Akamas and in the direction of Latchi or – for the daring – through the nature trails of the wider region, which is not only famous for its sandy beaches and the famous Baths, but also for the great biodiversity.
