Arnaouti Cape

Arnaouti Cape is one of the natural attractions of Cyprus and it is located on the edge of the Akamas peninsula in Paphos province.

On the northwestern edge of Cyprus and deep in the Akamas forest there is the Arnaouti Cape or St. Epiphanios as it is locally known. This name was given by Arnaoutides (locals of Albania) who moved there in the 16 th century in order to serve as cavalry or coastguards for the Venetians.

On the cape there is also the tallest lighthouse of Cyprus while not far away is the Aphrodite springs called Fontana Amorosa which was the main water source for ships that disembarked in the area. The western peninsula of the island is only accessible by sea.
