Argaka Beach
The beach Argaka is located approximately 2.5 kilometers north of the homonymous village of the Paphos region in Cyprus.
It is a huge coastline covered with sand and pebbles, about 10 kilometers long and 25 meters wide, which begins almost all the way at Polis to the west, and reaches the village Yalia in the east. Argaka beach is not organized at all, although in some of its parts various services are offered by hotels and restaurants.
Argaka beach is considered as one of the most important beaches of the island, since it belongs to the network Natura 2000 of the European Union. Being one of the relatively more obscure and unknown beaches, it receives visitors who primarily seek tranquility and relaxation. In its eastern part the coast is more “wild”, with cliffs and rocky coves, while to the west there is a dock full of sulfur from an old mine that used to operate there, and a stone's throw from the beach Argaka, you will find the picnic area Mavralis.
As a location that is ideal for walks along the beach, after enjoying the sea at Argaka beach visitors can take a walk in the homonymous village with the dam or to hike at one of the nature trails of the area.
