Akapnous Bridge
The Akapnous bridge is one of the most beautiful natural attractions of Limassol province and it is located northwest of the homonymous village.
Akapnous bridge is one of the many bridges built by Venetians in Cyprus and it is still an impressive spectacle, very well preserved. Venetians used to build single arc bridges but this one has two arcs making it more special. Also the foundations of the narrow street are still visible.
This Venetian structure with the two arcs is built on a tributary of Vassilikos river and it is accessible after the bridge from the dirt road about 100 meters away, where visitors park their cars. Access to Akapnous bridge is from the road Akapnou – Eptagonia.
