Agia Varvara Beach
Agia Varvara Beach is close to Agios Tikhon and is situated approximately 13 kilometers from the city of Limassol in the homonymous province of Cyprus.
Next to the archaeological site of Amathus and a few hundred meters east of the homonymous church, the beach Agia Varvara begins at Atlantica Bay Hotel and stretches all the way to the Blueberry Cafe.
Agia Varvara Beach is organized and has been awarded the Blue Flag for its clean waters. In the sea there are vertical breakwaters and although the sea here is generally shallow, in some places it deepens abruptly and caution is needed.
Along the Agia Varvara Beach bathers can take part in various water sports, and there is also a water park (opposite the Blueberry Cafe), where one can indulge in underwater explorations. There are also lifeguard services offered as well as some facilities for disabled people. Being the favorite beach of the youth, each summer on the large sandy shore (the sand alternates with pebbles) big parties and other events are organized, attracting visitors all day and all night.
Agia Varvara Beach is easily accessible by any means of transportation and is connected to all the main beaches of Limassol.
