Agia Triada Beach
Agia Triada Beach can be found to the north of Protaras on the island of Cyprus and about 9 km from the heart of its tourist area.
Adjacent to a small and picturesque fishing shelter, Agia Triada beach stretches next to the chapel, from which it has taken its name.
Agia Triada beach is perhaps one of the few places in the Famagusta region where one can relax and enjoy the sea in peace. Awarded with the Blue Flag, this beach has pink sand and clear blue waters. Right before the chapel of the Trinity, the visitor will also find several small rocky coves where you can find even more isolation. Here the bather can enjoy a swim (depending on the season) along with sea turtles, while in the early morning you will see many crabs marching gracefully on the coast.
Also, Agia Triada beach is one of the most spectacular beaches in the area, as it faces towards the ghost town of Famagusta. It is semi-organized, with several umbrellas, deck chairs and toilets offered to the public and there is a lifeguard during the summer months. Also close by there is a big golf court and the sailing club of the region.
Agia Triada is partly accessible for disabled people and is easily reached by car – it is situated just before the area of Kapparis,- or via the hiking trail that starts from Louma beach.
