Omega Beach

Omega beach or Pigenia is located in Kato Pyrgos Tillyrias in the Nicosia region in Cyprus and can be found right below the Pyrgos Bay Hotel.

After the winding road straightens and the rich vegetation thickens, the visitor realizes that he is approaching a border area, and the first image that he will encounter is the Omega beach. Known by locals also as Moutti tou Ammou, because the sand (ammos means sand in Greek) previously reached all the way to the road, and has taken its current name due to its shape (omega is the name of the Greek alphabet letter Ω).

The sea on the beach Omega remains always clean although quite choppy and is partly organized (sun loungers, umbrellas, lifeguard services). On the approximately 3 km long golden sandy shore, besides several sand dunes, you will also find little sea turtles, while around the beach, there are a few beach bars from which the visitor may enjoy the view of the green valley gently sloping towards the deep blue of Morphou Bay.

Besides Omega beach, in this area are also situated the beaches Apothikes and Kryoneri.
